“Let me remind you, we are not against large companies. Because Indonesia is a large country, we need cooperatives, we need MSMEs, we need the private sector, we need SOEs (State-Owned Enterprises), and ROEs (Regional-Owned Enterprises). We need them all,” he explained.

Under the Indonesia Incorporated framework, all economic participants are expected to reinforce one another through collaborative relationships. The Head of State stressed that cooperatives represent one of the foundational pillars of the national economy, a principle established by the country’s founding fathers.
