This proposal aims to create a more efficient system for handling proceeds from criminal activities, ensuring that recovered funds are properly administered and utilized. The commission believes that a standalone organization would address existing inefficiencies in how the nation currently manages these valuable resources.

Uli Parulian Sihombing, a commissioner at Komnas HAM, presented this recommendation during a press conference at the commission’s headquarters. He explained that the proposal is based on extensive research conducted by the commission, which examined the relationship between corruption and human rights violations throughout Indonesia. The study revealed significant gaps in the current asset management framework that needed to be addressed.

Building on Research Findings

The comprehensive study conducted by Komnas HAM provided crucial insights into how corruption affects various aspects of society.
