These appointments aim to enhance the oversight and implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) initiative across the archipelago. According to BGN Deputy Head Agustina Arumsari, all five officials received their appointments directly from President Prabowo Subianto through an official presidential decree issued on Monday, July 20, 2026.

Official Announcement and Background

During a press conference held at the BGN headquarters in Jakarta on Tuesday, Agustina confirmed that the presidential decree had been received the previous day. She explained that the newly appointed officials would now serve as senior leadership within the agency’s organizational structure. This strategic move demonstrates the government’s commitment to strengthening national nutrition programs through experienced professionals.

“Yesterday, we received a presidential decree signed by Mr. President appointing them as senior officials in the BGN,” said Agustina during the media briefing.

The five officials come from diverse institutional backgrounds, bringing varied expertise to their new roles. This cross-sectoral approach reflects the government’s intention to strengthen the MBG program through comprehensive leadership. Each appointee brings unique qualifications that complement the agency’s mission of improving nutritional outcomes for Indonesian citizens.

Leadership Changes Across Sectors

Among the new appointments, Prima Yosephine Berliana Tumiur Hutapea has been designated as Deputy of the System and Governance Sector. She replaces Tigor Pangaribuan in this position. Prior to joining the BGN, Prima served as the Director of Infectious Diseases at the Ministry of Health, bringing valuable public health experience to her new role.

Prima’s responsibilities will focus heavily on beneficiary data management. According to Agustina, her portfolio encompasses target planning, setting objectives, coordinating distribution from central offices to service facilities, maintaining records of beneficiaries by name and address, and conducting monitoring and evaluation of program outcomes.

“Starting from target planning, target setting, distribution from the center to service facilities, recording beneficiaries by name and address, to monitoring and evaluating the program’s achievements,” said Agustina regarding Prima’s new mandate.

Another significant appointment is Zainuri, who has been named Deputy of the Provision and Distribution Sector. He takes over from Suardi Samira in this capacity. Zainuri brings auditing expertise to the position and previously worked alongside Agustina when she served as Head of the Financial Bureau at the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency.

Additional Senior Appointments

The third official to receive a presidential appointment is Mariman Darto, who has been assigned as Deputy of the Promotion and Cooperation Sector. Mariman previously held the position of Expert Staff in Talent Management, providing him with relevant human resources experience.

Ketut Sumedana, formerly the Head of the South Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office, has been appointed as Deputy of the Monitoring and Supervision Sector. His legal and prosecutorial background positions him well for oversight responsibilities within the agency.

The final appointment involves Lili Khamiliyah, who has been promoted from her position as Head of the General and Financial Bureau within the BGN to serve as Chief Secretary. This internal promotion demonstrates the agency’s commitment to developing talent from within its ranks.

These five appointments represent a comprehensive restructuring of the BGN’s senior leadership team. With officials drawn from health, finance, legal, and human resources sectors, the agency appears positioned to address multiple dimensions of the MBG program simultaneously.
