Bali Golkar Calls for Central Support Ahead of 2029
Tempatdonasi.com – Bali Golkar Calls for Central Support as the party strengthens its organization for the political agenda leading to 2029. The provincial leadership says it has developed personnel, networks, and management capacity, but needs greater logistical backing from the national executive board.
Gde Sumarjaya Linggih, chairman of Golkar’s Bali Provincial Leadership Council, raised the issue in Denpasar on Saturday. Known as Demer, he said the regional organization is prepared in several key areas but continues to face funding and logistics pressures.
“Logistics can sometimes be a key factor in success; if our logistical resources are somewhat lacking, we simply report the situation to the General Chair—specifically regarding Bali—so we require assistance from the Central Executive Board (DPP),” Demer said.
Organization Prepares for a Changing Political Environment
Demer said political organizations must be intelligent, creative, innovative, and quick in making strategic decisions. In his view, a party needs a clear internal structure and the ability to respond to changing public needs.
He also praised Golkar’s national leadership for its commitment, sincerity, and consistency between words and actions. According to Demer, these qualities helped the leadership gain the full trust of President Prabowo Subianto.
The Bali Golkar leader described a broader shift in national priorities, from a capitalistic model toward human development and efforts to improve people’s quality of life. For regional party organizations, he said, this requires continued contact with communities and practical local engagement.
Young Members and Women Strengthen Bali Golkar
Bali Golkar Calls for Central Support while emphasizing that its leadership structure is united. The provincial council has 108 board members, including 47 representatives from Generation Z, while women account for approximately 37 percent of the leadership team.
“Golkar is solid right now; the General Chairman witnessed this firsthand. We have 108 board members, including 47 representatives from Gen Z, and women make up approximately 37 percent of our leadership team,” Demer stated.
The composition is intended to combine experienced cadres with younger members and a substantial female presence. Demer said the party already has human resources, broad networks, and digital-based management systems to support coordination across Bali.
Logistics Remain the Main Challenge
Despite those organizational resources, Demer said logistics remain the most difficult issue. Political activities require sustained outreach, communication, and direct engagement with communities, creating financial demands that regional branches cannot always meet alone.
Bali Golkar Calls for Central Support not simply as an administrative matter, but as part of an effort to ensure local cadres can continue carrying out social and political programs. Central assistance, the party says, could help regional branches maintain activity between major election periods.
Golkar Party Chair Bahlil Lahadalia said the central leadership understood the challenges faced by cadres at regency, city, and provincial levels. He responded to Demer’s concerns with a Papuan expression suggesting that the leadership had already recognized the issue.
“I fully understand the difficulties you are facing in the regencies, cities, and provinces. Regarding the logistics issue mentioned by ‘Bang Demer’ earlier—to use a Papuan saying—it is like this: ‘Little brother, you are just about to write it, but big brother has already read it,’” Bahlil said.
Bahlil added that the party’s central leadership regularly organizes gotong royong, or mutual cooperation, programs, especially around Golkar’s anniversary. These initiatives include affordable basic-needs distribution and social programs intended to provide assistance in regional areas while enabling cadres to connect directly with residents.
