Tempatdonasi.com – Indonesian students have united to voice their concerns regarding the ongoing investigation into former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah. The Central Executive Board of the Muhammadiyah Student Association (DPP IMM) organized a significant demonstration outside the main gate of the Attorney General's Office on Tuesday, July 21, 2025. This gathering highlighted the 6 Demands by Indonesian Students seeking transparency and accountability in the legal proceedings against Febrie Adriansyah, who has been named a suspect in the PT Asabri corruption case.

DPP IMM Secretary General M. Zaki Mubarak delivered the students' collective statement on behalf of dozens of participating Muhammadiyah students. During his speech, he emphasized that restoring public confidence in Indonesia's anti-corruption efforts requires more than just words. He stressed that genuine trust must be built through consistent, transparent, and impartial law enforcement practices that leave no room for impunity.

The Six Key Demands Outlined

The 6 Demands by Indonesian Students presented by DPP IMM cover several critical aspects of the investigation process. First, they urged law enforcement authorities to investigate Febrie Adriansyah openly, professionally, and thoroughly in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations. Second, they called for any legal measures, including suspect naming and detention, to be taken only when all legal requirements and sufficient evidence have been met, without discrimination.

Third, the students demanded an end to any form of protection, intervention, or maneuver that could obstruct, influence, or undermine the legal process. Fourth, they urged the Attorney General's Office to demonstrate its independence by placing the rule of law above institutional solidarity, loyalty, or political interests. Fifth, they emphasized that the principle of equality before the law must be upheld consistently, with no special treatment granted to public officials, law enforcement personnel, or political elites.

Sixth, the students called for all legal proceedings to be conducted transparently and accountably, with information made accessible to the public and anti-corruption efforts carried out regardless of position, personal ties, or political proximity. These demands reflect the students' commitment to seeing justice served without compromise.

Following the demonstration, Zaki also called on regional and branch leaders of the Muhammadiyah Student Association across Indonesia to hold constitutional protests at provincial and district prosecutor's offices. These regional actions aim to support the central demands and help oversee law enforcement nationwide as part of broader anti-corruption initiatives.

The Attorney General's Office has recently come under public scrutiny after police investigators named former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah a suspect in the PT Asabri corruption case. The case has since been transferred to the Attorney General's Office for further investigation. To ensure the objectivity of the investigation, the Attorney General's Office has established a special team consisting of nine senior prosecutors to handle the case involving Febrie.
